Ingredients of Phulkopi Posto Cauliflower in the Khus Khus Gravy

  1. You need of Cauliflower (Medium- Cut into medium florets).
  2. Prepare of Panch Phoron (5 assorted spices).
  3. You need of Salt.
  4. Prepare of Sugar.
  5. It's of Turmeric Powder.
  6. Prepare of Poppy Seeds/Posto/Khus-Khus(Soaked for 15-20 mins & then, blended to a smooth paste).
  7. You need of Yellow Mustard Seeds(Soaked for 15-20 mins & then, blended to a smooth paste).
  8. Prepare of Black Mustard Seeds: (Soaked for 15-20 mins & then, blended to a smooth paste).
  9. It's of Green Chillies (Slitted).
  10. Prepare of Mustard Oil (To drizzle on the top).
  11. You need of Cooking Oil (Any).

Phulkopi Posto Cauliflower in the Khus Khus Gravy instructions

  1. In a bowl: Soak the Khus-Khus/Posto, Mustard Seeds & some Green Chillies and set aside for about 15-30 mins time.
  2. Cut the Cauliflower into medium florets & blanch it with some salt & turmeric & then, gently sauté it in a frying pan with some oil- over the medium heat.
  3. Slice the Onions & set aside & blend the Posto mixture by adding some salt to it, to a smooth paste in the blender jar.
  4. Now, in a frying pan- Add in some oil & heat up over the medium flame & add into it the panch-phoron & the onions.
  5. Sauté the same for about a minute & then, add in the cut cauliflower florets and sauté with some salt over the low-medium heat with the lid on & stirring occasionally in between to avoid burning at the bottom of the pan.
  6. Once it’s well cooked- Now, add in the blended Posto & Mustard Seeds mixture to it & again cook for about 6-8 mins stirring occasionally in between, with the lid on.
  7. Once it’s done & the gravy thickens & the cauliflower florets are all well cooked- add in some slit green chillies & drizzle some mustard oil to it.
  8. Turn off the flame now & let it sit on its standby position for about 10 mins time before serving it hot to relish with the Rice, Roti or Paratha & ENJOY 😋 the meal 🥘.
