- You need 1 cup of refined flour.
- You need 3 tbsp of oil/ghee.
- It's 1 pinch of ajwain/carrom seeds.

- Take maida,salt,ajwain and cumin seeds in a bowl. Add oil/ ghee. Mix it well..
- Crumble the flour completely with oil using the fingertips. Adding water little by little knead a stiff, tight dough..
- Cover with a damp muslin cloth and rest for a minimum of 30 minutes..
- Divide the dough into equal round balls. Flatten the balls into thin round discs..
- Take out one disc and cut it into a square shape. Make slits with the help of knife in the middle portion..
- Fold it and now again fold it and seal the edges. Slice a slot in the middle of the strips..
- Heat oil in a pan. Deep fry it in batches. Cook it on medium flame until golden brown..
- Serve or store in an airtight container after it becomes cool..
